East Tennessee OB/GYN

The East Tennessee OBGYN facility serves four physicians. Design of the facility is a combination of contemporary and traditional environments between hospital facilities and residential scaled structures on adjacent properties. Low partitions and planters separate the waiting area into a series of smaller groupings to impart a feeling of serenity and privacy with a specialized space for toddlers and young children. Each of the physicians has a unique suite that includes a personal office, examination room, and nursing area with easy access to central supplies and laboratory facilities. The facility incorporates educational rooms for patients to view videotapes, receive consultations, medical treatment or dietary information. The practitioners share a convenient centralized office filing system, insurance and accounting functions. Use of highly reflective exterior window glass provides a sense of privacy to the patients, while allowing natural light to enhance the examination spaces.
